Die belgische Galerie D & A Lab präsentierte während der Design Miami/ Basel das Projekt "Mari Thirteen" von Jonathan Monk. Für diese Kollektion, die aus dreizehn Unikaten besteht, griff er auf den Bausatz von Enzo Mari zurück, der 1974 ganz im Sinne von demokratischen Design einen Plan entwarf, mit dem sich ein jeder günstig einen Stuhl zimmern kann. Monk kehrt diesen Ansatz um, indem er für seine limitierte Serie nur das edelste Holz verwendet. Das entsteht, wenn sich ein Künstler als Design versucht…
